Q
I came across your blog, read some of your answers to questions & I really love what you're, doing. It's refreshing that even someone who isn't religious is standing up for what's right! I hope you continue to have a voice (:
A

Just reminding people that it isn’t a religious issue, but an issue all of us should be educated on, regardless of what side we stand on.
I really appreciate the encouragement, thank you! :)

“THIS IS MY UTERUS.”

(except when paying for abortions, pap smears, contraception, cancer screenings, std screenings) The cost for upkeep is all YOURS!

Q
I am personally pro-choice, but I was just wondering how you feel about abortions for women who's health is going to be harmed by their pregnancy? or for abortions for babies who won't survive? :)
A

Hi thanks for the question :)

First of all, it is an extremely rare case when abortion is required to save the mother’s life. In an ectopic pregnancy, the child is developing outside the uterus. This child has no hope of survival, and has to be removed to save the mother’s life. When two lives are being threatened and only one of those lives can be saved, doctors must always try to save that life.

Another thing to consider is the mother’s “health” and the mother’s “life.” During pregnancy, there are always some difficulties to the mother’s health, but harm to the mother’s life is a completely new discussion.

To be pro-life doesn’t mean I am only pro-life about babies. I am pro-life about women, who are just as equal and valuable as babies are.

Q
As someone who's politically pro-choice, but personally pro-life, I'd like to applaud you and say what you're doing is pretty awesome.
A

Thank you!

Q
Oh, and another thing. Since you're against the death of unborn children, does that mean you're against the dying of sperm, too? Thousands of them die every single minute and each one has the potential to become a fully developed human being, so it's essentially the same concept as an abortion!
A

If you have ever taken a basic biology class, you would know that neither egg nor sperm is complete. Just like the cells of a kidney or any other body part, neither egg nor sperm can become other than what it is.

They are destined to remain what they are until they die, which in the case of sperm is only about 20 minutes to an hour outside the body.

However, when a sperm and egg are JOINED, genetically distinct human life begins.

Therefore, your argument is invalid.

Q
When an impregnated woman makes the choice to abort her child, she is not deciding that her child would be invaluable to society and thus mustn't be allowed birth; she is merely deciding that, regardless of how significant the child may become, she is not ready to become a mother, due to a lack of maturity or of the funds necessary to care for the child. In fact, if the latter, the child may end up dying either way! Wouldn't it then be better to kill it while it's not fully developed?
A

Ending life is not the solution for not being prepared to be a mother.
I’m sorry, but saying “I’m not mature enough” and “I don’t have enough money” is NO excuse to end a life.
So because the child may die in the future, it is better to kill it off now? What are you trying to say?

Just a thought.

If a single living cell was found on some other planet, scientists would exclaim that we have found LIFE elsewhere in the universe.

So why is a single living cell found in the womb of a pregnant woman not considered LIFE?

Q
I don't understand something. I just saw a post of yours someone had reblogged on my dash and it confused me. How can one be pro-life and still not advocate forcing people with uteruses to remain pregnant against their will? I honestly can't imagine any circumstance where those two ideas are not in conflict.
A

What I meant by that statement was that I believe everyone should have the ability and freedom to make their own choices in life. Whether it is picking out what color clothes to wear, or choosing what college to attend. By all means, do your thing!

The issue I have is when people are making a choice to end human life. I believe that is wrong. I am also anti-death penalty. Humans deciding whether another human’s life is valuable to society or not is a twisted idea that I do not support.

And since I believe that human life begins at conception, I believe that the procedure of abortion (which destroys that life) is wrong. When I say that I am not forcing women to continue a unwanted/unnecessary/inconvenient pregnancy, I mean that I understand they will always be free to make their own choices. But based on my personal beliefs, I believe that their choice to abort is the wrong choice.

I hope that made sense. Thanks for the question!

If you say it’s your body, your choice, then use your own money. Defund Planned Parenthood.

Q
What is the difference between you and other pro-lifers? because honestly, I'm not seeing any difference.
A

The fact that I am pro-life and not religious makes me different from the majority of pro-lifers. I was also pro-choice in high school, until I did some research. I am also pro-gay rights, anti-death penalty, and pro-contraceptives, which is also unusual in pro-life activists. It’s okay if you don’t see a difference, maybe your mind and heart can be opened through following my blog.
Thanks for stoppin by! :)
