I believe an excellent example of hypocrisy is demanding that the government stay out of your bedroom while also demanding that they pay for your birth control and abortions.

Just a thought.

Q
I must say, I admire the maturity and respect in your answers. Being on the fence, I have purposefully avoided thinking about the issue, but your blog is helping sort out my thoughts.
A

Awesome! Good luck on sorting out those thoughts.
Thank you so much :)

Q
If you don't like abortions, don't get one. But don't try to take away that right from a woman.
A

I don’t like abortions, and I will never get one.
I don’t like lobster, so I will never eat one.
I don’t like snakes, so I will never hold one.
I don’t like murder, so I will never kill anyone.

But I will never turn away and ignore something I believe to be wrong.

I am a woman, and I enjoy having rights. I understand that every woman has the right to abort her child. But I still believe it to be wrong, and I will continue to fight for unborn life.

A group of young mothers in Slovakia commissioned a statue dedicated to the unborn.
According to her blogpost, it was inaugurated in the presence of the Slovak minister of health. It is called “The Child Who was Never Born.”
It was created by a young sculptor named Martin Hudáčeka.

It is not “potential life”, it is life with potential.

Q
I came across your blog, read some of your answers to questions & I really love what you're, doing. It's refreshing that even someone who isn't religious is standing up for what's right! I hope you continue to have a voice (:
A

Just reminding people that it isn’t a religious issue, but an issue all of us should be educated on, regardless of what side we stand on.
I really appreciate the encouragement, thank you! :)

Pro-Choice Logic.

“THIS IS MY UTERUS.”

(except when paying for abortions, pap smears, contraception, cancer screenings, std screenings) The cost for upkeep is all YOURS!

Q
I am personally pro-choice, but I was just wondering how you feel about abortions for women who's health is going to be harmed by their pregnancy? or for abortions for babies who won't survive? :)
A

Hi thanks for the question :)

First of all, it is an extremely rare case when abortion is required to save the mother’s life. In an ectopic pregnancy, the child is developing outside the uterus. This child has no hope of survival, and has to be removed to save the mother’s life. When two lives are being threatened and only one of those lives can be saved, doctors must always try to save that life.

Another thing to consider is the mother’s “health” and the mother’s “life.” During pregnancy, there are always some difficulties to the mother’s health, but harm to the mother’s life is a completely new discussion.

To be pro-life doesn’t mean I am only pro-life about babies. I am pro-life about women, who are just as equal and valuable as babies are.

Q
As someone who's politically pro-choice, but personally pro-life, I'd like to applaud you and say what you're doing is pretty awesome.
A

Thank you!

Q
Oh, and another thing. Since you're against the death of unborn children, does that mean you're against the dying of sperm, too? Thousands of them die every single minute and each one has the potential to become a fully developed human being, so it's essentially the same concept as an abortion!
A

If you have ever taken a basic biology class, you would know that neither egg nor sperm is complete. Just like the cells of a kidney or any other body part, neither egg nor sperm can become other than what it is.

They are destined to remain what they are until they die, which in the case of sperm is only about 20 minutes to an hour outside the body.

However, when a sperm and egg are JOINED, genetically distinct human life begins.

Therefore, your argument is invalid.

Q
When an impregnated woman makes the choice to abort her child, she is not deciding that her child would be invaluable to society and thus mustn't be allowed birth; she is merely deciding that, regardless of how significant the child may become, she is not ready to become a mother, due to a lack of maturity or of the funds necessary to care for the child. In fact, if the latter, the child may end up dying either way! Wouldn't it then be better to kill it while it's not fully developed?
A

Ending life is not the solution for not being prepared to be a mother.
I’m sorry, but saying “I’m not mature enough” and “I don’t have enough money” is NO excuse to end a life.
So because the child may die in the future, it is better to kill it off now? What are you trying to say?
